Importance of Fatherhood in a child's early years

Listen up dads, it's time we take the time to be the fathers that we need to be for our children. The statistics are overwhelming as to a child's poor development due to the lack of a father in their lives. Lets make it happen, sooner than later!!

An excellent read is the book, "52 things kids need from a dad", by Jay Payleitner. You can find it on Amazon.com at; http://www.amazon.com/Things-Kids-Need-Dad-Difference/dp/0736927239

Here is some food for thought derived directly from the book mentioned above;

"For those of us fathers that are consumed with our jobs, remember this; We will always be busy, always have documents to fill out, meetings to attend, emails to reply to, etc... but our precious young children won't always be young. They're only age 2, 7, or 10 once, and one time only. They're not always gonna wanna sit in our laps and be cuddled or smothered with kisses. So stop what you are doing, notice your children and their desire for your attention and love them with all your heart. If you take the time to be with them now, they'll probably take the time to be with you later in life. Embrace your fatherhood.
